Ms. Lord earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2022, where she focused on civil and human rights litigation and earned a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies. While there, she worked as a student attorney in the Georgetown Civil Rights Clinic, taking on cases relating to prisoners’ rights and access to public information and presenting oral arguments in federal district court. She also participated in the Human Rights Institute’s yearlong Fact-Finding Practicum, where she and five other students investigated attacks on healthcare by the Assad regime in Syria and wrote a report assessing whether they constituted crimes against humanity. After graduating from law school, Ms. Lord completed a legal fellowship with Crisis Action, an NGO advocating for civilian protection in armed conflict areas. Ms. Lord is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (MWELA). Ms. Lord is barred in Washington, D.C. and is currently practicing under the supervision of a Maryland-barred attorney.
